10 tips for Adsense publishers

I am a Google Adsense publisher for the last 14 months. There are many misconceptions about adsense on the net. Making money using adsense is a time consuming process. There are no short cuts except hard work.
Lesson 1- Patience:

Don’t expect quick money. It is a long rewarding process. If you add quality content consistently, you will be definitely rewarded for your time.

Lesson 2 - Hard work:

It is not as easy as you read in some blogs. If you want to make big money, you have to devote at least 8-10 hours per day. Hard work always pays.

Lesson 3 – Passion:

Never start a website or blog on high paying niches (Cancer/ student loans) without adequate knowledge on that topic. To make big money online, you have to write passionately and consistently.

Lesson 4 – Plagiarism:

Never copy content from other sites/blogs. Google will severely punish these sites.

Lesson 5 – MFA sites:

Never buy/make Made for Adesnse sites. They will last only for short term. If you want to make money on long term basis, write unique quality content.

Lesson 6 – Videos:

You Tube videos will increase the average time a user spend at a website. It indirectly increases CTR (Click through Rate). Try to put some video.

Lesson 7 – Read, Read and Read:

Read other blogs in your niche and grasp useful knowledge. Quality is important than quantity. Traffic is essential to improve adsense revenue.

Lesson 8 – Domain and hosting:

Buy a unique domain. Google hosts your blog for free (only blogger blogs). Domains with unique names make more money than free domains. Carefully select a good domain. Your blog title and domain should be same.

Lesson 9 – Write for both people and Search Engines:

Choose each and every word carefully. Don’t spam with key words. Keyword density should be at optimum level (5%-8%). Title and first few sentences are crucial. Use Google keyword suggestion tool. https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal#

Lesson 10 – Learn from failures

Location and number of adsense blocks depends on site design. It varies from site to site. Experiment with them. Closely observe the placement of adsense blocks on other successful sites.
